Counting down to the Games
Our Parklands (Gold Coast Commonwealth Games Village) is coming to life as the 6000 athletes start to move in.
This Sunday, 10 days before the Games opening ceremony, it will open officially for athletes and team officials to arrive. We’re sharing our excitement with our Queensland joint venture partners Archipelago and Arkhefield, and client Grocon.
On Friday night, Parklands was awarded the 2018 Minister’s Award for Urban Design (Queensland). It has also won the Excellence in Urban Design Award and Helen Josephson Award for Urban Design Leadership at the 2017 Gold Coast Urban Design Awards.

After the Games, Parklands will be the Gold Coast’s biggest ever urban renewal project, with 1250 homes, green space, and a 5,840m2 retail precinct and village heart. We masterplanned the site then designed and delivered the six residential lots.
