Elevations at ARM
ARM Architecture is pleased to announce a series of promotions across our Sydney and Melbourne studios, recognising the outstanding contributions of our team members to the success of our practice. These promotions reflect our commitment to nurturing talent and fostering leadership within the firm.
Joshua Morrin has been promoted from Senior Associate to Principal, effective immediately. Based in our Sydney studio, Joshua’s meticulous approach and problem-solving prowess have been instrumental in leading major projects and navigating complex design challenges. His elevation to Principal is a testament to his rigorous attention to detail and unwavering dedication to excellence.
“In our design work, we focus on those moments from which there’s no turning back; that’s how I think of our six years in the Sydney studio. Together, we’ve worked on projects both locally and across the country, working at scale and pace, across various types and phases, always striving to bring the best of ourselves to each project. I look forward to continuing this journey with our incredible team, delivering spaces that bring joy to our clients and communities.”
Hannah Kuek, based in our Melbourne studio, has been promoted to Senior Associate. Hannah’s ability to manage complex projects with precision and her commitment to design excellence have made her an invaluable member of our team. Her new role will see her take on greater leadership responsibilities within the studio.
“ARM’s architecture tells stories about people, culture, and Place. The design outcomes appear bold, vibrant, and fearless – a lot of teamwork goes on behind the scenes to get to this point. One of my favourite aspects is untangling complex briefs with in-depth research and stakeholder engagement to create strong armature for the design outcomes. I look forward to stepping in to the role of Senior Associate to continue delivering hardworking, highly functional spaces that look great too.”
Also in our Melbourne studio, Chris Buchhorn has been promoted from Associate to Senior Associate. Chris’s expertise in project delivery and his open, collaborative approach have earned him this well-deserved advancement. As Senior Associate, Chris will continue to play a key role in mentoring our emerging talents and ensuring the success of our projects.
“People are at the heart of every design outcome, so it’s incredibly rewarding to see our projects making a positive impact on communities, whether through a school, civic building, or social housing. I am excited to continue contributing and sharing in this experience with the ARM Architecture team in the role of Senior Associate.”
Finally, Nessie Frangos has been promoted from Project Designer to Associate. Nessie’s creative vision and technical skills have been integral to the success of numerous projects. In his new role, he will continue to contribute to the distinct design culture that defines ARM Architecture.
“ARM is a genuinely ideas- and design-led practice, creating architecture that engages with the contemporary world, the stories it holds, and how we, as architects, can invent, challenge, and create commentary through design. Through rigorous research and reflection, we consistently create complex conceptual frameworks that underpin our work, leading to exemplary design outcomes that go beyond aesthetics. I am humbled by the opportunity to contribute as an emerging design leader at such a storied practice in my new role as Associate.”
