HOTA Outdoor Stage wins!
Our HOTA Outdoor Stage won the major prize at last month’s Australian Institute of Architects Queensland Chapter Awards: the FDG Stanley Award for Public Architecture.
The Outdoor Stage is the first completed element of our HOTA Masterplan, and a strong catalyst for the precinct’s success.
It has already won the 2018 Architects Landscape Architecture Award (Civic landscape) and Tourism Award of Excellence from the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects Queensland Chapter.
“…a wonderful start to the masterplan implementation of the HOTA precinct.”
—AIA Queensland Chapter jury report
The Outdoor Stage last month also won a Colorbond Award commendation for the Voronoi shade over the stage.
We share the kudos with our client, the City of Gold Coast, and landscape partners CUSP and TOPOTEK1, whose planting is thriving.
Congratulations to all this year’s AIA state award winners. Next stop is the national awards.
