Landscape award for Parklands!
UPDATED 1 MAY 2019: ARM’s Smith Collective (formerly known as Parklands and the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games athletes’ village) has won the Landscape Architecture Award (Civic landscape) from the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects Queensland Chapter.
We share the kudos with landscape architects Lat27, our joint venture partners Archipelago and Arkhefield, and client Grocon.
“The design sits in a context that transitions from highly built up to naturalistic. The thoughtful approach to planting and well-integrated stormwater management means the parkland will continue to develop as an important community asset.”

Smith Collective has also won the Karl Langer Award for Urban Design from the Australian Institute of Architects Queensland Chapter.
It is one of Australia’s first build-to-rent developments and is now modified out of its Games-life mode so it can start its future as the Gold Coast’s newest community.
Properties are now available to rent.
