Ian McDougall will be a keynote speaker at this month’s Hong Kong Business of Design week.
BODW is an annual five-day conference, forum and exhibition attended by more than 100,000 global visitors. Each year a partner city or country is showcased through speakers and a design pavilion and 2018’s is Melbourne.
Ian was chosen by the Australian Institute of Architects and the Office of the Victorian Government Architect to represent Melbourne.
He’ll be talking about Melbourne’s unique culture of architecture and design and the role ARM and other significant firms have played in growing that culture.
“Melbourne is a city of architectural discourse and collaborations that have produced experimental and original design strategies. Many are exotic and unfamiliar, yet they determine the character of the city.”
BODW continues until 7 December.
