We have masterplanned and designed this new community from scratch.
ARM won a design competition to masterplan two greenfield precincts called Caulfield Village. On the strength of our competition entry, we were invited to design all the buildings as well.
The new urban community is in Melbourne’s inner south-east next to Caulfield Racecourse and Caulfield Railway Station, which is a major transit hub.
The first stage, named Precinct 2 South, will be completed in July 2019.
It includes 390 apartments with residents’ facilities (pool, gym, bookable dining room, cellar, library) plus restaurants, cafés, and other retail.
The entire development will have 830 homes in total.
There will also be a network of green boulevards, streets and laneways seamlessly connected into the existing urban framework. The roads and paths will be meaningful desire lines—intrinsically great places that also provide a strong framework for future buildings.
The next stage, Precinct 2 North, will be a build-to-rent development. Subject to development planning approval, it will have more than 400 apartments and retail, including a supermarket.
