Does Adelaide really need an “iconic” concert hall?

Ian McDougall responds to Adelaide architect Guy Maron’s vision for a 21st-Century concert hall.

Maron proposes an “iconic” $100 M concert hall in the Riverbank parklands seating up to 2000 people. But is that really what South Australia needs?

Read Ian’s response here.

“The SA Government has the chance to set the pace nationally by creating the next generation of concert halls, not repeating the old model

…Next-Gen venues are designed for players as they perform today while looking to the next generation of audiences with all the acoustic and technical wizardry we have at our fingertips now.”
